Good Morning,
Thank you to all the parent volunteers this past weekend. The uniform team, the chaperones, the beekeepers, the chaperones at the competition who filled in as beekeepers because we were short volunteers for beekeeping. Thank you for giving your time for all these kids and your efforts to make them shine.
Congratulations to the band for a wonderful performance on Saturday. A special shout out to the percussion for being at the top of the entire competition and to the guard for having the second highest score in a very highly competitive competition!!!
THIS WEEK IS OUR STATE FINALS PERFORMANCE which is the culmination of all our hard work and dedication to this marching band season. Tuesday and Thursday rehearsals are extremely important as we clean our show for State Finals.

- 2:45 – Parents Take Over The Square! Join us in sending off our band kids to the OMEA State Marching Band Finals! This year marks the 26th consecutive year the Musical Bees have earned a spot to perform at State Finals — an incredible streak of excellence. They’ll also be striving for their 23rd consecutive Superior Rating, the highest honor a marching band can earn at this level.
- And parents… I’m practically handing it to you on a silver platter with this year’s competition show theme. You have every opportunity to thoroughly embarrass your kids on The Square — so go all out and have fun!

💯 GRADES
A reminder for returning parents and information for new families:
Marching Band grades will not be finalized until the end of the marching band season. Grades will not be entered for the 1st Quarter for another few weeks.
Students with makeup assignments should continue submitting their work by the assigned due dates. For students who have already turned in their makeup assignments, grades will be updated as soon as I have reviewed their work.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this busy part of the school year.

Due to demand, we have purchased 36 black T-Shirts with the alternative logo for this years competition show theme. They will be available to collect at Uniform Hand-Out at the Senior Home Game on Friday 24th. Only a limited number are available. Place your order here to pick up with your uniform on Friday night.
🖼️ SENIOR PARENTS – IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED
It’s almost Band Banquet time…we have a tradition of showing photos of their time in the Medina Band Program during the recognition ceremony. It’s not required, but if you’d like to participate, send us a 4 to 5 photos of their time in the band program (or band related). They will be assembled into a photo collage to be displayed on the PAC screens when their name is called. We suggest no more than 5 as that makes for a busy collage and it’s only displayed for a short time. After the banquet, the collage will be emailed to as another token of our Thanks for being part of band.

Help Us Send Off the Bees to State Finals! 🐝🎺
As we prepare for OMEA State Marching Band Finals, we’re continuing the tradition of treat bags for our 210 band members to enjoy on the big day! We’re asking for donations of nut-free snacks and drinks—bulk or multi-packs are especially appreciated. Students can drop items in the blue bin near the Band Office by Tuesday, October 22.
We’ll also need volunteers to help assemble the bags on Thursday, October 23 at 6:30 PM at the PAC. If you can help, please email: daniecehfr@gmail.com
Then on Finals Day, October 25, help us send off the band in style! 🎉 Bring posters, pom-poms, and cheers to Medina Square as the buses roll out at 2:45 PM, traveling down Rt. 3 and South Court St. Let’s show our community spirit and give these incredible students the celebration they deserve!
